Reaching out for help can be nerve-wracking but we’re here to make the process as comfortable as possible. Below are some questions frequently asked by first time clients. If you don’t see something listed, feel free to contact us for additional information.

Your first appointment is called a Diagnostic Assessment (DA). You will complete initial paperwork to help us gather information about your presenting complaint(s). Once your provider reviews this information, the diagnostic interview will begin. The purpose of the interview process is to gain insight into your mental health history, further explore presenting complaints, and establish an initial treatment plan that will help you meet your goals.

A standard session is 50 minutes long.

Appointments must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance by calling or emailing us. Monday appointments must be cancelled by noon the Friday before your appointment to not be considered a late cancellation. All late cancellations (any appointment cancelled with less than 48 hours notice) and no-shows will be subject to a $100 fee. In the event that you experience a family emergency, imminent weather, or an illness that prevents you from providing adequate notice, we ask that you reach out to your provider as soon as possible to discuss your scheduling concerns.

Session frequency varies from client to client. Most clients will initiate services at a frequency of weekly to every other week. As they develop the tools to manage their symptoms, clients transition to a less frequent schedule such as monthly or on an as needed basis until client and provider determine treatment goals have been met.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Health Partners, UCARE, Medicare, Optum, Medica, Humana, UBH/UHC, UMR. We also offer private pay rates by request and work with Employee Assistance Programs (NuVantage and AllOne Health).
